Trending video: Titi Abubakar ‘urge citizens to collect their PVC and Vote the Ruling Party in the 2023 General Election.

Wife of the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP),Titi Abubakar, Atiku Abubakar has been captured in a viral video making an apparent campaign blunder.

She called on Nigerians to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC), even though her husband party is in the opposition.

Titi, who was speaking during a PDP campaign rally, set the internet abuzz when she was condemning APC for failing to fulfil its promises only to urge citizens to collect their PVC and vote the ruling party in the 2023 general election.

She said By the 25th of February, everybody should come, if you have not collected your PVC, go and collect your PVC, we should vote APC; APC promised to do so many things for the country but we can see ourselves now the way we are.

Madam Atiku said you should get your PVCs & vote for APC. Awwww 🤣🤣

In reaction, the spokesperson for the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo spoke in defence of the wife of the PDP flagbearer.

This is obviously a slip of tongue, but we hold the view that it is unreasonable to make a mountain out of such molehills, especially when you quickly correct yourself, Keyamo said.

In other political news, the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed confidence that its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will defeat his People’s Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Atiku Abubakar to clinch a landslide victory in the South-West.

Isaac Kekemeke, APC National Vice Chairman (South West), stated this while addressing pressmen, adding that the party will emerge victorious in all the six states of the region.

He said the PDP only won the 2019 and 2022 governorship elections in Oyo and Osun states due to the disunity within the APC in the runup to the elections.

Isaac, who described the victory of PDP in the two states as one chance emphasised that the APC is now one big family in the region, hence its readiness to secure a high number of votes for Tinubu.

He also said; The PDP should know that it was a one-chance victory because, in the 2020 governorship election in Ondo state, we beat them in almost all the state’s local government areas.

We had an unprecedented outstanding governorship victory in 2020 because the factors that militate against our success in those states in 2019 were no longer in place.

If they talk about 2019, a good sense of simple arithmetic should make them remember Ondo 2020. They are standing on to 2019 but have forgotten the 2020 elections. We are not divided, our wall is not broken, so no lizards can enter as they did in 2019 when there was a crack.

They look like lizards that came to play on the opening, but that opening is now closed. It was not just closed today but in 2020, and they saw the result in Ondo.

Even their recent victory in Osun is not a yardstick to measure the PDP’s popularity in the state, we have an ongoing case at the Election Petitions Tribunal, and we are confident of reclaiming our mandate very soon.
